Kenyan artiste Willy Paul has fought back hard against Nigerian rapper Blaqbonez for disrespect after the latter seemed to mock the viral Kenyan slang “Walai Mkinisupport.” The slang, popularized by Willy Paul himself, was used recently in what many interpreted to be satirical terms by Blaqbonez, and this had a fiery backlash from the Kenyan artiste.
Venting online, Willy Paul responded angrily, “I respect you and what you do, but I will not tolerate this disrespect from you or anyone! Put some respect on my name.” He went on to defend his music legacy, swearing that the sound Blaqbonez is claimed to be mocking is the same one that “revolutionized the Kenyan music scene.”
In his brutal message, Willy Paul told the Nigerian artist that Kenyans do not joke with disrespect and continued, “I beat kids like you. Mimi utandikwa makafukuswi kama wewe.”
The statement has since opened heated discussions on social media, with Kenyan and Nigerian fans weighing in on . Some netizens have commended Willy Paul for defending himself and his craft, others have urged unity over beef among African artists.
