US pop star Britney Spears, has voluntarily entered a rehabilitation facility following her recent arrest on suspicion of driving under the influence (DUI),in Los Angeles, US, on Sunday.

Spears was arrested in March, 2026, with police saying they had suspected her to be under the influence of alcohol and hard drugs. She was later booked into custody by the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department, and is expected to appear in court on May 4th, 2026.

Her arrest has drawn the public and media attention, reigniting concerns over the singer’s well being. Her music achieved success in the late 1990s with the hit “Baby One More Time” and “The Woman in Me” in 2023, which made her famous globally.

In her album launch in 2023, Spears, said that she never did hard drugs and she never drank or was be under the influence of alcohol, but she admitted she was taking Adderall, the ADHD medication.

She voluntarily made her decision by herself to go to rehab, as she suggested it was necessary for her to stabilize her health and address personal challenges.

Spears, remains one of the most influential pop artists of her generation. She previously spent years under a court-ordered conservatorship that ended in 2021 following a high-profile legal battle that drew worldwide attention.
