Kenyatta University is set to expand opportunities for African students through emerging partnerships with Ukrainian universities, following a high-level visit by the Ukrainian Ambassador.

The engagement, chaired by Acting Vice-Chancellor Prof. John Okumu, explored ways to facilitate student exchanges, joint research, and specialized programs in agriculture, medicine, tourism, and other key sectors.

Ukrainian universities are reportedly planning dedicated faculties to accommodate African students, opening doors for education, skills development, and cross-cultural learning.

Officials emphasized the role of universities in fostering international collaboration, highlighting shared historical experiences, resilience, and the potential for African youth to gain global exposure and career opportunities.

The visit underscores Kenyatta University’s growing profile as a hub for strategic academic partnerships in Africa and signals a promising future for Kenyan and African students seeking international education pathways.
