President William Ruto has emphasized the need for leaders to foster national unity and move away from divisive politics that hinder the country’s development agenda.
Speaking after a meeting with grassroots leaders from Wajir County, President Ruto reiterated his administration’s commitment to accelerating development and improving the livelihoods of residents in the region.
“Leaders have a duty to unite Kenyans and steer them away from retrogressive politics that slow our transformation agenda,” Ruto stated.
During the talks, key issues discussed included infrastructure development and the implementation of Universal Health Coverage (UHC) in Wajir. The President assured local leaders that his government is focused on delivering essential services and fostering economic growth to uplift the region.
The discussions also centered on enhancing connectivity through improved road networks, boosting access to healthcare services, and ensuring the successful rollout of key government projects aimed at transforming lives in the county.
“Together, we are committed to accelerating development and improving livelihoods,” the Head of State affirmed.
The meeting is part of ongoing engagements between the national government and local leaders to ensure inclusive development across all regions of the country.
