FKF Women Premier League champions Police Bullets have stepped up their preparations ahead of Sundayβs showdown with Bungoma Queens at the Police Sacco Stadium.
Led by newly appointed head coach David Vijago, the Bullets surged to the top of the table with 12 pointsβtwo ahead of second-placed Vihiga Queensβafter their emphatic 9β1 victory over Kisumu All Starlets last weekend.
Vijago said the teamβs focus is firmly on defending their title, urging his players to maintain discipline and target maximum points in every match to realise their ambition.
The coach, who took over from Beldine Odemba a month ago after joining from Kibera Soccer Ladies, will, however, be without two key players who sustained knocks in their last outing.
Bungoma Queens head coach Godfrey Mabonga admitted that Police Bullets present a formidable challenge but maintained that his side is determined to secure all three points.
In Saturdayβs fixtures, Zetech University will host Vihiga Queens at the Zetech University Grounds in Mangu, Gideon Starlets will face Kisumu All Starlets at Raila Odinga Stadium in Homa Bay, and Ulinzi Starlets will welcome Trinity at the Ulinzi Sports Complex.
On Sunday, Kisped Queens meet Soccer Assassins at Moi Stadium in Kisumu, while newcomers Kayole Starlets take on Kiera Soccer Women at Kasarani Annex Stadium.
