Borehole 5 Secondary School in Fafi constituency has become a beacon of hope in Garissa county, both in academics and sports.
The school is set to represent Garissa county in the regional inter- county football championships, for the second year in a row.
The school’s excellence, which goes beyond the football pitch saw it ranked as the best performing public secondary school in Garissa County in the 2024 KCSE exams.
Fafi MP Sala Yakub aka Hangool met with with School’s football team to celebrate their Garissa County Tournament win.
The MP praised them for their dedication and urged them to aim for victory in the next tournament, pledging full support. During the meeting, the team expressed gratitude and vowed to continue excelling.
Hangool described Borehole 5 Secondary School’s excellent performance as a true reflection of discipline, hard work and community effort, both in sports and academics.
The school soccer team secured the ticket after winning at the Garissa county level. It is currently preparing for the regional secondary schools football championships, where they will meet winners from Mandera and Wajir counties.

”I had the pleasure of hosting a dinner in honour of Borehole 5 Secondary School, our very own football giants who have once again made us proud by emerging as Garissa County Secondary Schools Football Champions, for the second year in a row”, he said.
As they prepare to represent Garissa County at the Regional Championships, where they’ll face top teams from Mandera and Wajir, we stand firmly behind them with pride and support.
”We are proud of you. Go represent Fafi and Garissa with honour, strength, and unity”, Salah said.
