Reality TV star and entrepreneur Vera Sidika is urging young people and hustlers not to fall for the trap of quick money, warning that the price of illegal shortcuts is never worth it.
Her advice came shortly after reports surfaced about a 43-year-old Kenyan woman who was arrested in India for attempting to smuggle cocaine worth over KSh 300 million. Shocked by the news, Vera shared her thoughts on Instagram, using the moment to caution her followers against chasing fast money through dangerous or unlawful paths.
“Y’all never learn!” she posted, alongside shocked and facepalm emojis.
Vera emphasized that freedom is something she values deeply. She said it’s the main reason she’s never been tempted to engage in illegal activities, no matter how tough things get.
“I just don’t get it,” she added. “If you can’t do the time, don’t do the crime. Nothing good ever comes out of doing illegal businesses. You will always get caught.”
As a mother of two and a self-made businesswoman, Vera encouraged others to focus on building clean, sustainable income streams. She believes that while the honest route may take longer, the peace of mind and lasting rewards make it worthwhile.
Her message is a firm reminder that chasing wealth at any cost can lead to devastating consequences—and that true success is built, not stolen.
