This was part of the ongoing Sambaza Furaha campaign where Safaricom is spreading Festive cheers to its customers across the country.
Safaricom hosted a dinner in Eldoret as part of its Sambaza Furaha campaign to honor over 60 dealers and M-PESA agents in the Rift Valley for their contributions over the past 24 years.
The event celebrated their achievements and collaboration with Safaricom, with Regional Business Lead Samuel Kirubi highlighting their vital role in the company’s success.
“This is a big moment for us as we bring early festive cheer to our customers by gifting them with various delights. Today, we are also celebrating our dealers in this region, who have played a significant role in our success as a company”, Said Samuel Kirubi, Rift Valley Regional Business Lead at Safaricom.
They are key stakeholders and hold great importance to us. We have shared a meal together and exchanged experiences from our journey together,” he said.
Mr. Ashish Shah of Happy Go Limited, one of Safaricom’s longest-serving dealers, reflected on his 24-year journey with pride.
“It has been an incredible experience working with Safaricom since its inception. The growth from a small telecommunications provider to a leading technology company is remarkable. M-PESA has been the most transformative, positively impacting millions of Kenyans.” Said Mr. Ashish Shah of Happy Go Limited.
Beatrice Waititu, an M-PESA agent since 2009, highlighted M-PESA’s transformative impact during Safaricom’s Sambaza Furaha campaign.
Reflecting on her journey, she shared, “I started as an employee at an M-PESA agency, but today I’m proud to own several M-PESA agencies where I have created jobs and supported livelihoods. I thank Safaricom for this transformative idea, which has enabled many people to earn a living and transformed countless lives.”.
Safaricom’s Sambaza Furaha campaign is spreading festive cheer across the Rift Valley, with a caravan distributing gifts like goats, chickens, and food hampers.
It will travel through Langas, Chepkoilel Junction, Ziwa, Soi, Maili Tisa, and Maili Nne today; Iten, Kabarnet, Marigat, and Nakuru tomorrow; and conclude in Mauche, Keringet, and Salgaa on Sunday.
The campaign also includes S-Hook youth workshops, dealer engagements, and free medical camps.
