Women Entrepreneurs Celebrate Resilience and Success at FOWEK’s 2024 President’s Breakfast

The Federation of Women Entrepreneurs of Kenya (FOWEK) marked a significant milestone on November 15, 2024, as it celebrated its first anniversary with the 2024 President’s Breakfast Event at the Serena Hotel.

Themed “Building Lasting Success Through Resilience and Opportunity,” the event brought together an influential cohort of women leaders, entrepreneurs, and industry pioneers to champion resilience and sustainable growth in business.

The gathering, which served as a platform for inspiration and knowledge exchange, was headlined by Flora Mutahi, Founder and CEO of Melvin’s Tea.

In her keynote address, Mutahi emphasized the vital role of adaptability and perseverance in navigating challenges in the ever-evolving business world.

Adding to the event’s impact, a distinguished panel of experts shared insights into sustainable growth and opportunities for women in business.

Panelists included Joseph Wekesa, EA Alumni Engagement Manager at Sinapis; Christine Khasinah, Founder of Supamamas; Mrs. Wanjiru Mambo, Founder and Director of Wedgehut Foods Ltd; Dr. Daniel Achac, Executive Director of Regiolex Consulting Limited; Suzie Wokabi, Founder of SuzieBeauty and SB Dada; and Floice Mukabana, CEO of the Kenya Export Promotion and Branding Agency (KEPROBA).

Mukabana’s address, “Resilience Beyond Borders,” resonated with the audience, emphasizing the untapped potential of cross-border business opportunities.
