Major General Fatuma Ahmed, Commander of the Kenya Air Force (KAF), recently participated in the 8th International Military Flight Training Conference and the 15th Zhuhai Air Show in Zhuhai, China.
The event, which brought together Air Chiefs and aviation leaders from around the world, aimed to foster greater international collaboration, understanding, and trust among global Air Forces.
Hosted by the People’s Liberation Army Air Force (PLAAF), the conference focused on advancing cooperation in military flight training and featured a prominent session on Unmanned Systems Intelligence.
Under the theme “Unmanned Intelligence, Unlimited Future,” the session delved into the latest developments in intelligent unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and explored the safety, reliability, and potential of autonomous systems.
Throughout the six-day event, Major General Ahmed engaged in fruitful bilateral discussions with General Chang Dingqiu, Commander of the PLAAF.
She also had the opportunity to meet with various exhibitors, explore static aircraft displays, and observe live aerial demonstrations.
Major General Ahmed was accompanied by a Kenyan delegation that included Ambassador to Beijing, Amb. Willy Bett; Defence Attaché Col. Joseph Yator; Lt. Col. Douglas Muthuri; and Lt. Col. Juma Mayamba.
