KUCCPS Invites Students to National Career Conference and Exhibition 2026 Prior to University Placement

Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has invited students preparing for university and college placement to attend the National Career Conference and Exhibition 2026 which the organization believes will assist students in making positive decisions on their career path before opening the application process.

The National Career Conference and Exhibition 2026 will take place from January 27 to 29, 2026 according to KUCCPS. The conference and exhibition will happen at Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC), which is located in Nairobi.

The event is anticipated to attract students, parents, and institutions in the industry and others in Kenya.

KUCCPS stated that the National Career Conference and Exhibition 2026 is intended to afford learners an opportunity to engage institutions and professionals directly, making it easier for them to understand what various courses entail, what skills are required, as well as what is currently in demand in terms of careers.

The placement agency indicated that over 100 institutions are set to participate at the exhibition. The institutions include public and private universities, TVET institutions, and professional and private sectors.

Students attending the National Career Conference and Exhibition in 2026 will also take advantage of professional career guidance workshops, mentoring forums, and career-related seminars related to job market trends.

According to the KUCCPS, the careers fair will also feature policy dialogues, with the aim of ensuring training is aligned with the nation’s development goals.

Additionally, KUCCPS will conduct the running of the on-site clinics during the National Career Conference and Exhibition in 2026 to assist students in processing placement applications as well as student transitions into institutions. According to the entity, the initiative forms part of the plan to ensure KUCCPS emerges as a lifetime career partner rather than just a placement authority.

At the same time, KUCCPS disclosed that students seeking to pursue hospitality and tourism programmes at Kenya Utalii College would, for the first time ever, have the opportunity to place through the agency. This comes after a new partnership was formed between KUCCPS and Kenya Utalii College.

Speaking during a meeting with the Kenya Utalii College management on Wednesday, January 20, CEO of KUCCPS Agnes Wahome announced that the courses will be posted on the KUCCPS portal before the beginning of the application process for the 2026 academic year.

According to Wahome, this partnership will help open access to programs offered at Utalii College and will ensure that more students are in this institution. The partnership will also run a program that will mainly involve a concept referred to as career consulting, which will target a large percentage of citizens in Kenya.

This comes at a time when thousands of students who undertook the 2025 KCSE exams are still waiting for the actual opening of the placement platform for the chance to join their desired programs in various learning institutions across the country.
