President William Ruto has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to promoting sports within the country’s disciplined forces, following a celebratory meeting with FKF Premier League champions Kenya Police F.C. and Kenya Police Bullets at State House, Nairobi.

The President applauded the dual achievements of the men’s and women’s teams, hailing them as a symbol of excellence, discipline, and national pride.

“Kenya Police are not just guardians of law and order — they are champions on the field,” said President Ruto. “They continue to showcase Kenya’s immense sporting talent, from football to athletics and volleyball.”

The Head of State congratulated the teams for their historic victories in both the FKF Premier League and the FKF Women’s Premier League, calling it a testament to the growing strength of institutional sports in the country.

“These victories are not just about trophies — they show what can happen when we invest in our people and give them a platform to thrive,” Ruto said.

He also emphasized the need to integrate sports development into national security institutions, noting that such programs foster discipline, resilience, and unity within the ranks.

“As a government, we will scale up support for sports programs within the police service and other disciplined forces,” the President pledged. “This is part of a larger agenda to tap into youth potential, promote wellness, and strengthen the fabric of our national identity.”
