Leaders from Western Kenya aligned to the Kenya Kwanza ruling coalition have blasted the opposition for what they say is a lack of a clear development agenda for the people, appealing to the locals of the region to support President William Ruto as the government unveils various development projects.
At the same time, youths in Busia County have rolled out a clean and peaceful politics campaign that targets sensitising young people on the importance of not being used to instigate violence and cause disruptions during political rallies.
The initiative comes amid the increasing political tensions that typically characterize the period running up to the 2027 General Election.The youth, led initiative is geared towards encouraging issue, based politics and peaceful coexistence among politicians and the local communities.
