National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetangula has called on Kenyans from all political backgrounds to rally behind President William Ruto’s development agenda, stating that the country’s economic trajectory is firmly on the right path.

Speaking at Kipketii Primary School in Sotik Constituency, Bomet County, during the funeral service of Mzee Edwin Kipchirchir Koech, Wetangula attributed the ongoing restoration of the country’s economy to the President’s renewed energy and commitment.

He emphasized that this focus is crucial in securing Kenya’s future.

“Today, I called on all Kenyans to support President H.E. Dr. William Ruto’s development agenda, which I confidently noted, is on the right path,”he said in a statement.

The Speaker challenged political leaders to shelve personal ambitions and prioritize the nation’s collective progress. He specifically urged his colleagues, regardless of their political affiliations, to put the country first and called upon President Ruto to remain resolute in delivering his development blueprint to the citizens.

The event served as both a platform for political messaging and a solemn tribute to Mzee Koech, who is the father of Roads and Infrastructure Cabinet Secretary Davis Chirchir.

In his eulogy, Wetangula celebrated the late patriarch as a devoted Christian whose life was defined by quiet compassion and integrity. He noted that Mzee Koech consistently uplifted those around him without seeking the spotlight.
