The leaders of umbrella religious organisations have praised President William Ruto over how he is running the country while at the same time giving recommendations on how to make the country better.
The said leaders represent 21 umbrella organisations and 2,600 bishops from Indigenous, Pentecostal and Evangelical backgrounds, serving a constituency of nearly 28 million believers.
In their joint statement, the group said they acknowledge the significant strides made by the government in addressing national challenges.
"Initiatives in employment creation, health reforms and efforts to stabilise the cost of living are commendable and provide a foundation for further progress," read the statement in part.
However, they noted the difficulties Kenyans are experiencing, such as the rising cost of living and unemployment.
As a result, they urged the government to redouble its efforts to ensure that these challenges are tackled comprehensively and that relief reaches every household.
Kenyans being peace-loving people, the leaders commited to using their grassroots networks to spread messages of peace, unity and hope.
While at it, they encouraged the government to give priority to inclusive policies that bridge regional and economic divides.
The leaders commended the president for addressing critical issues in his State of the Nation address, including job creation, affordable housing, healthcare reform, human rights and food production.
They affirmed that these actions demonstrate a commitment to improving the lives of Kenyans.
Further, the clerics insisted on constructive criticism. They encouraged leaders to highlight both progress and areas for improvement, fostering a culture of mutual respect and shared responsibility.
Finally, the men of God urged all leaders, including political and religious to engage in decorum and respect for the presidency while addressing national issues.
