President William Ruto hosted a delegation of Kenyan artists in State House, Nairobi on Monday. The high level meeting aims at addressing critical challenges facing creative sector, including piracy, lack of support and limited market.
Speaking with artistes, the head of state express his appreciation “I was pleased to meet artistes who appraised me of the issues affecting their sector. We agreed to work together for a better Kenya for all” he stated
The meeting showcases government broader support for economic development and empowerment. The creative economy contributes 5 percent of country’s GDP projected to raise by 10 percent by the end of 2025
“Through bold decisions, we have made great strides in stabilising the economy, increasing agricultural productivity and enhancing social security for a better future” he stated
President Ruto emphasized that Kenya will be transformed by leaders who are prepared to take bold and decisive steps to change the lives of the people” he added He highlighted the government key developments including affordable housing, and Universal Health Coverage (UHC) urging that all government projects will be shared equally to all Kenyans across the country.
