President William Ruto has joined the world in commemorating International Women’s Day, affirming his Kenya Kwanza government’s commitment to empowering women and girls.
In a video shared on his socials, President Ruto said that empowerment is not just a matter of inequality but a driving force of a stronger, more inclusive and prosperous society.
“On this International Women’s Day, we reaffirm our commitment to empowering women and girls not just as a matter of inequality and justice but as a driving force of a stronger, more inclusive and prosperous society,” said Ruto.The head of state said his government is working to expand opportunities and foster an environment where every woman and girl thrives and realises their full potential.
“We remain resolute in our quest to break barriers, expand opportunities and foster an environment where every woman and girl thrives, leads and realizes their full potential,” added Ruto.
