KCB Rugby are the champions of the 59th edition of Christie 7s in the Sportpesa National 7s Rugby Circuit after defeating Menengai Oilers 17-5 in the finals played in Nairobi.

Prinsloo 7 champions Strathmore Leos secured third place after a 24–19 sudden-death win over tournament hosts Kenya Harlequins, with Gabriel Ayimba producing the decisive moment.

Kabras Sugar claimed ninth place after edging Mwamba 12–7, while Nondescripts saw off Impala RFC 28–17 in the fifth-place playoff.

KCB coach Dennis Mwanja said the three finals he has reached, winning two and emphasizing that the journey for the grand title is shaky, but with a price as this victory confirmed KCB’s eighth Christie 7s title and their second trophy of the season.

The women’s category saw Mwamba being crowned champions after edging Kenya Harlequins 14–5 in a physical final.

Division Two honours went to Kabete Stallions, who brushed aside Makueni RFC 22–0 to secure the crown and promotion to division one in their next outing.

The victory pushed KCB to the summit of the National Sevens Circuit log with 63 points, five clear of Strathmore Leos as now all eyes and focus shifts to Embu next weekend 23-24th August 2025.
