winning ways on Monday after they managed to edge BIDCO United by 1-0 in the only top-tier FKF Premier League match that was held at Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani Annex.
Brian Otieno found the back of the net for the 30th minute, thus leading the post- four-match streak without victory, to their first win of the campaign.
Throughout the match, Rangers were the better side and had more chances to score but they failed to capitalize on them and BIDCO’s efforts to level up the score line also proved fruitless, thus they brought the defeat back with them to Eldoret.
With this triumph, the mailmen climbed to the fourth position on the league table with 16 points, only three points short of the league leaders Gor Mahia. On the other hand, BIDCO Utd, who have been impressive in the early stages of the season, are now in ninth position after losing the match.
The league action is set to continue on Friday with two matches on the cards. Posta Rangers will be hosting Nairobi United while Tusker FC will be visiting Ulinzi Stars.
After 10 rounds of matches, Gor Mahia are at the top of the log with 19 points followed by Kakamega Homeboyz who are trailing by just one point. Meanwhile, Kenya Police who are the defending champions are in the third spot.
