Police have confirmed that one person has died and several others have been injured in an early morning accident at Twin Bridge on the Nakuru-Eldoret road.
The crash occurred at approximately 3:30 a.m. when a bus swerved to avoid a collision with two lorries and veered off the busy highway. The bus then rolled over and overturned into a ditch. The driver and several passengers sustained serious injuries and were rescued by emergency responders.
Red Cross officials, along with other emergency personnel, are currently on the scene providing medical assistance and attempting to rescue any remaining survivors.

This accident comes just a week after a similar incident at the same location claimed 13 lives. On August 20, a PSV bus was involved in a multi-vehicle collision at around 5 a.m. Of the 13 victims, five were women, seven were men, and one was an infant.
The death toll rose as more bodies were retrieved from the wreckage of the vehicles involved. Additionally, 55 people were injured and admitted to various hospitals in the area.
The bus, which was traveling towards Nakuru from Kericho, reportedly lost its brakes while navigating the steep stretch of road. It crashed into barriers and collided with other vehicles before plunging into a ditch.
