President William Ruto has made three key appointments to augment the staff complement supporting the implementation of the Bottom Up Economic Agenda (BETA).
In a statement on Friday, August 23 by the Chief of Staff and Head of Public Service Felix Koskei, Ruto appointed Dennis Itumbi as the Head of Creative Economy and Special Projects in the Executive Office of the President.
This appointment will go into fostering Kenya Kwanza’s zeal for innovation and growth towards a robust yet novel sector in the economic sphere.
Also, to support the Executive Office of the President in delivering its mandate, Ruto with the approval of the Public Service Commission (PSC) appointed Eliud Owalo as the Deputy Chief of Staff, Performance and Delivery Management.
"This ministerial-level appointment will among other roles, be responsible for effective and efficient implementation, monitoring and evaluation of priority projects and initiatives of the government in line with the BETA plan," read the statement.
The office is also charged with overseeing performance of government ministries, departments and agencies in service delivery.
To bolster the implementation of the BETA plan by the Broad Based Government, Ruto appointed Moses Kuria as a Senior Advisor in his Council of Economic Advisors.
