The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has announced a few remaining slots for aspiring primary school teachers in its ongoing placement cycle in a notice issued Wednesday, July 9.
KUCCPS announced that Eldas Teachers Training College in Wajir County is offering limited vacancies for its Diploma in Primary Teacher Education programme, set to begin in September 2025.
To qualify, applicants must have a minimum mean grade of C (plain) in the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) .
“Course alert. Eldas TTC in Wajir County announces limited vacancies for the September 2025 intake,” read part of the notice. “Applications are to be submitted online through the KUCCPS Student’s Portal at students.kuccps.net. Vacancies are filled as applications are received.”
The application window is open for ten days and will close on July 18.
This comes just days after Education Cabinet Secretary Julius Ogamba confirmed that over 50,000 candidates from the 2023 KCSE cohort had qualified for university and college placement during the 2025 placement results.
In addition the application period for Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) courses is also ongoing.
The portal was opened on June 24 for students who missed out on earlier placements but still wish to pursue medical training beginning this September.
