In a coordinated crackdown on wildlife crime, a multi-agency team in Nyahururu Sub-County has arrested two suspected traffickers and seized elephant tusks worth Ksh 3.6 million.
The suspects, Robert Kiptoo and Sinko Kedienye, were captured at their hideout in the Kwa Wanjiku area, where they were found with 18 kilograms of elephant tusks allegedly intended for sale to a prospective buyer.
Both men, along with the recovered tusks, were taken to Nyahururu Police Station for processing and will be charged once investigations are complete.
