Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) forensic investigator Christine Ombaka has won the 2026 Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) Global Public Sector Advocacy Award.
Ombaka was recognised for her contribution to public sector integrity, accountability and the fight against corruption through corruption investigations, forensic accounting, asset tracing and anti-corruption guidance.
The award also acknowledged her efforts in strengthening investigation systems and risk management within public institutions, as well as mentoring emerging professionals and promoting the accountancy profession.
Speaking during the award presentation ceremony at Integrity Centre, EACC CEO Abdi Mohamud, represented by Director, Field Services and Coordination Jackson Mue, congratulated Ombaka on the achievement.
The CEO said the recognition demonstrates the value of professional expertise and commitment in advancing the Commission’s mandate. He added that EACC remains committed to supporting the professional development of its officers.
ACCA Eastern Africa Chapter Head George Njari described Ombaka’s achievement as a proud moment for the organisation, noting her dedication to integrity and accountability.
Ombaka thanked EACC for supporting her professional growth and dedicated the award to the Commission, saying the recognition reflects collective efforts to advance integrity and the fight against corruption.
