Cabinet nominee for Interior and National Administration, Kithure Kindiki, has disclosed his net worth at approximately Sh694 million.
Kindiki explained that a significant portion of this income comes from his law firm, which is currently managed by others.
Addressing the National Assembly Committee on Appointments during his vetting, Kindiki clarified that he has not engaged in any improper business dealings, nor has he conducted business with the government.

“My wealth has increased from Sh. 544 to Sh. 694M. I have never done business with the government or applied for any tender personally or by proxy. Kithure Kindiki said.

He said that Most of the increase is due to three factors: legal fees that were pending, and also engaging in small businesses.

Kindiki was the first nominee to appear before the committee on Thursday, with four others scheduled for vetting the same day.

This latest declaration marks an increase from the Sh544 million he reported in October 2022. At that time, Kindiki’s net worth was composed of land and buildings valued at around Sh165 million, bank deposits of approximately Sh50 million, and investments in shares and deposits in five different savings and credit cooperative organizations (saccos).
