American streaming star IShowSpeed has described his visit to Kenya as the most memorable moment of his 28-day tour across Africa, saying the experience left a lasting impression on him.

The popular streamer, whose real name is Darren Jason Watkins Jr., recently wrapped up his first-ever tour of the continent, visiting more than 20 countries and immersing himself in local cultures. Speaking on Yahoo Sports Daily, Speed admitted it was hard to pick just one standout moment from the trip, but Kenya stood out for the overwhelming support he received from fans.

He recalled being shocked by the massive crowd that turned up to watch his live stream, estimating that between 20,000 and 30,000 people gathered in Nairobi. Speed said he had never seen such a turnout before and was amazed by the love and energy from Kenyan fans.

Throughout his African journey, Speed attended major events, including the Africa Cup of Nations final in Morocco, celebrated with football fans in Senegal, and marked his 21st birthday in Nigeria, where he also surpassed 50 million YouTube subscribers.

In Kenya, he explored Nairobi National Park, visited Upper Hill High School, experienced matatu culture, toured housing projects in Mukuru, and interacted with local creators and fans. He said the trip changed his perception of Africa and opened his eyes to the continent’s vibrancy and warmth.
