Opposition claims that Kenya may experience chaos during the 2027 General Elections have been dismissed by President William Ruto, who instead has guaranteed the people that the country is safe with him at the helm.
While speaking at a public function in Nyamira County in the Gusii region, the President indicated that besides knowing the security situation, the government will not tolerate any kind of violence whether the person involved be influential or have a political affiliation.
Besides, Ruto issued a stern letter to the opposition leaders accusing them of “fear-mongering” the people of Kenya and instead encouraged them to have political debates based on issues and concentrate on progress.
On his tour day 2, he threw open a series of development projects worth several billion shillings to primarily address the health, education, road infrastructure, and last mile water connectivity sectors.
The construction of Nyamira University College is one of the major projects that will be undertaken for this purpose of increasing access to higher education in the country.
