Inspector General of Police Douglas Kanja has announced the creation of three new police stations aimed at boosting security in Nairobi and Turkana counties.

According to a gazette notice dated June 5, the new stations include Utalii Police Station in Nairobi’s Ruaraka sub-county, and Oropoi Police Station and Loreng Police Post in Turkana West.

The move follows President William Ruto’s March directive to address rising insecurity in Ruaraka by fast-tracking the gazettement of a police station in the area.

“These stations will help strengthen law enforcement and ensure safety in the affected communities,” said Kanja.

The additions are part of ongoing efforts by the National Police Service and the Interior Ministry to expand security infrastructure across the country.
