ICT and Digital Economy Cabinet Secretary William Kabogo has moved to reassure Kenyans following a temporary outage that affected several government websites on Monday morning.
In a statement, Kabogo said the disruption was swiftly contained, confirming that all affected services had already been fully restored.
According to the ministry, the outage affected website access only, with no personal or government data breached, altered, or lost during the incident.
“Our teams acted quickly, and all services are now fully restored. At no point was any sensitive information accessed or compromised,” Kabogo said.
He added that the ministry had deployed immediate mitigation measures and enhanced monitoring systems to prevent similar occurrences in the future.
Kabogo further assured the public that the government remains committed to protecting the integrity of Kenya’s digital infrastructure.
“We continue to strengthen the security, reliability, and resilience of Kenya’s digital platforms while ensuring uninterrupted access to public services,” he noted.
The Cabinet Secretary apologized for any inconvenience caused and reiterated the ministry’s commitment to keeping government digital services secure, transparent, and reliable.
