Apple will take its stage at Cupertino headquarters on September 9 to unveil the most ambitious and awaited smartphone of this year. The lineup breaks up a pattern the company has followed for a close to a decade.
Three phones are expected on stage: the iPhone 18 Pro, the iPhone 18 Pro Max and the first- ever Apple foldable iPhone, rumored to be branded the iPhone Ultra. The standard iPhone 18, the iPhone 18e and the second-generation iPhone Air have reportedly been pushed to spring 2027.
Apple’s Pro models have long been the benchmark for performance and design and the iPhone 18 features include a 6.3 -inch Pro and 6.9 -inch Pro Max. It will be powered by the A20 Pro chip, Apple’s first built on a 2nm process, promising unmatched efficiency and speed.
The launch event will be hosted by John Ternus, the Chief Executive, after taking over from Tim Cook on September 1. The launch will begin at 8:00 PM EAT, with pre-orders beginning on September 12, retail sales from September 18, and iOS 27 rollout in mid-September, ahead of retail availability.
Beyond the phones, Apple is expected to show the Apple Watch Series 12 with a ceramic case option returning, Apple Watch Ultra 4, and the AirPods 5 with a new H3 chip.
