Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja has made several changes in his executive, reshuffling his chief officers.
In the changes, the vocal Chief Officer for Environment, Geoffrey Mosiria, has been moved to the Citizen Engagement and Customer Service docket.
The new docket is perceived as less lucrative, and according to sources, it has a smaller operational budget, which is seen as a demotion to Mosiria.
The environment docket will now be held by Hibrahim Otieno, who previously headed the medical facilities docket.
The changes announced on Wednesday, November 18, in accordance with Section 45(5) of the County Government Act 2012, take effect immediately.
