The Public Service Commission (PSC) has announced 67 job vacancies under the Ministry of Interior and National Administration, with successful applicants set to work in the State Department for Correctional Services.
In a notice published on its website, PSC invited qualified Kenyans to apply online through its jobs portal before August 3, 2026, at 5:00pm East African Time.
Among the available positions are 25 security wardens, 19 artisans, 18 cooks, and five housekeeping assistants. The commission outlined specific qualifications for each role, ranging from KCSE certificates to relevant technical and vocational training.
Applicants seeking cook positions must possess a KCSE grade of D plain and a craft certificate in food and beverage production or a related field. Housekeeping assistants are required to have a KCSE D plain and at least two months of training in housekeeping or laundry services.
For artisan jobs, candidates must hold a KCSE D plain and a Government Trade Test Certificate Grade III in areas such as plumbing, carpentry, masonry, welding, or painting. Meanwhile, security wardens must have a KCSE D+, a certificate of good conduct, be below 36 years of age, and be physically and mentally fit.
