Speculations going around the internet concerning American singer Khalid’s sexuality have prompted the ‘Young, Dumb and Broke’ hitmaker to come out of the closet. The singer took to his X account to share news about his sexuality. The American posted the pride flag and captioned it with,
!!! there y’all go. next topic please lol,”
A netizen took to social media to ascertain whether the post was really a confessional writing, “Wait hope Mr Khalid isn’t GEHHH,” Khalid commented saying, ”I am and that’s okay.”
In a different Twitter post,Khalid revealed that he had decided to make the news public since somebody had decided to reveal his business to the online community. His Twitter post read,
“I got outted [sic] and the world still continues to turn. Let’s get this straight (lmao) I am not ashamed of my sexuality! In reality it ain’t nobodies [sic] business!But I am okay with me 🖤 love y’all.”
Khalid’s confession happens shortly after an artist, Hugo D Almonte posted on X that he had relations with a famous singer but didn’t enjoy the experience. Hugo posted,
“One of your favorite gay R&B singers… and it was really bad. I was dating this dumb singer he’s ugly as f–k but he tried to set me up and lie and say I broke into his house because I broke up with him like why I would go to your house and do all that if I broke up with you dumb ass!”
There was an uproar on social media as the online community speculated that he was referring to Khalid. Hugo also went ahead to post a selfie of him and Khalid seeming all cosy. He captioned it with,
“Y’all really really want me to blow this s–t up. Bitch ass lied and said that I broke into his house cause I didn’t want him.”
