Wolverhampton Wanderers have parted ways with manager Vítor Pereira following a disastrous start to their Premier League campaign.
The Portuguese coach failed to secure a single victory in his 10 league matches in charge, leaving Wolves rooted to the bottom of the table with just two points.
The decision came after a 3–0 defeat to Fulham at Craven Cottage on Saturday — a result that extended the club’s winless run and further intensified pressure on the former Porto boss.
Following the match, Pereira admitted his frustration and hinted that his future at Molineux was uncertain, saying he “understood the realities of Premier League management.”
Reports suggest that Brendan Rodgers, who recently left Scottish champions Celtic, is among the frontrunners to replace Pereira.
Other names linked with the vacancy include former Manchester United managers Erik ten Hag and Ole Gunnar Solskjær, as well as Sérgio Conceição, Frank Lampard, and Kevin Muscat.
Wolves will next travel to Stamford Bridge to face Chelsea on Saturday, November 8, in what will be a daunting test for whoever takes charge.
The fixture comes just days after Chelsea eliminated Wolves from the Carabao Cup with a thrilling 4–3 victory at Molineux.
