A dormitory at Njia Boys Secondary School in Igembe, Meru County, has been razed down by fire.
According to videos shared from the scene, the inferno intensely burned down the establishment as firefighters attempted to put it out.
The area community also joined in the efforts to extinguish the fire and could be seen fetching water using buckets.
At the time of publishing this article, the fire was yet to be extinguished but various emergency service personnel were at the scene.
The cause of the inferno was not immediately identified.
The Njia Boys fire comes hours after a dormitory at Isiolo Girls High School also went into flames.
Also on school fires, the country is still mourning 21 young learners who died after a dormitory at Hillside Endarasha Academy burnt down.
