Huduma Centre

Kenyans seeking services at the Huduma Kenya centre at the General Post Office (GPO) in Nairobi have been told to expect delays after the agency announced service disruptions on Monday.

In a notice dated April 20, Huduma Kenya said the problem has affected not only the GPO Huduma Centre in the CBD, but also the Huduma Contact and Tele-Counselling Centre.

The GPO branch is the main Huduma Centre in the country and supports services in other centres. With the disruption, many services used daily by thousands of people have slowed down.

Other equally critical services, including NHIF, NSSF, updating of KRA PIN, and issuance of certificates of birth and death have also been affected.

In a statement to the public, Huduma Kenya has apologised and assured the citizens that it is aware of the significance of such services to Kenyans.

Huduma Kenya further stated that its technical teams are currently working on resolving the matter.

Unfortunately, this is not the first time a case like this is happening. Some months ago, many Kenyans faced difficulties in accessing their eCitizen portal accounts, some even failed to log in while others found their information missing in the system.

In the meantime, anyone intending to visit a Huduma Centre has been asked to be patient since the problem is under control.
