The Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI) detectives have recovered a body believed to be that of missing cab driver Victoria Mumbua Muloki.
Mumbua’s body was discovered at City Mortuary five days after she went missing on September 27 while ferrying a passenger from Mombasa.
Detectives would then arrest the main suspect, Edwin Ng’etich, who was found driving Mumbua’s stolen vehicle.
After intense questioning, Ng’etich led the police to where he had dumped the body.
Preliminary investigations indicate the body was found in a thicket in Mai Mahiu next to a road in Lari, Kiambu, and was transferred to City Mortuary on September 29.
Mumbua’s family in Mombasa has been notified of the development and is scheduled to identify the body.
