Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna has strongly supported the controversial #BloodParliament documentary by BBC Africa Eye.

The Senator described the documentary as an accurate portrayal of the events of June 25, 2024 in Kenya’s Parliament.

In a post shared on X, Senator Sifuna described the events as “written in blood” and impossible to erase.

“Those attempting to rewrite it will find it especially difficult,” he stated, asserting that the documentary reflects what was witnessed live by the public and lawmakers alike.

The June 25 incident, widely condemned both locally and internationally, involved violence and chaos during a critical parliamentary session.

The documentary has reignited public discourse and raised calls for accountability.

Senator Sifuna emphasized the importance of telling the story from all angles “for the sake of truth and justice,” saying discomfort with the documentary stems from personal guilt.

“Those who are uncomfortable with this are wrestling with their own consciences and we cannot help them with that,” he concluded.
