President William Ruto has called on newly appointed Cabinet and Principal Secretaries to rise to the occasion and deliver on the promises of his administration, emphasizing that “failing Kenyans is not an option.”
Speaking during the swearing-in ceremony of two Cabinet Secretaries and 14 Principal Secretaries at State House, Nairobi, President Ruto said the government is under immense pressure to meet the expectations of the public, and that restoring public confidence must remain a top priority.
“We are facing exceptionally high expectations and demands from the public, and failing Kenyans is not an option,” the President said.
He challenged the new appointees to serve with commitment, diligence, and integrity, urging them to align their efforts with the Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA) — the administration’s blueprint for inclusive growth and development.

“We must put more effort and commitment in our work to regain public confidence and ensure that no one is left behind,” he added.
The President emphasized that the public service must reflect excellence, with focus placed on delivering tangible results across sectors such as health, agriculture, housing, and digital economy.

“I urged the new CSs and PSs to serve our country with focus and diligence to accelerate the realisation of our Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda,” he noted.
