Detectives in Kasarani have arrested two men accused of operating an elaborate online scam in which they posed as alluring female masseuses to rob unsuspecting clients.

The suspects, identified as Alex Mugo Wachira and Simon Chomba Mbogo, allegedly lured victims by advertising fake “professional massage services” online, only to turn the experience into a nightmare.

According to police reports, one victim fell for the ruse after being enticed by a social media post promising a luxurious massage experience by two attractive women. He arranged a session at what was presented as a spa residence along Lumumba Drive in Kasarani.

But instead of essential oils and spa music, the client was met with armed robbery. The suspects reportedly brandished knives, coerced him into transferring Sh280,000 to their mobile number, and stripped him of his valuables before forcefully ejecting him from the premises.

The victim reported the incident to Kasarani Police Station, prompting an investigation that used forensic leads to track the suspects to a hideout in the Kamiti prison area, where they were found enjoying themselves — possibly with the stolen money.

The two are currently in police custody and are being processed ahead of their arraignment.

Police have urged members of the public to exercise caution when engaging with online service providers and to report any suspicious activities.
