President William Samoei Ruto has departed for Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, to participate in the Africa Heads of State Energy Summit, also known as the Mission 300 Africa Energy Summit.

This was announced by his deputy Kithure Kindiki who escorted him to the airport.

“Seeing off President William Samoei Ruto as he departed for Dar es Salaam, Tanzania to attend the Africa Heads of State Energy Summit (Mission 300 Africa Energy Summit).”Kithure posted.

The summit brings together African leaders to deliberate on sustainable energy solutions for the continent.

It aims to advance discussions on achieving universal energy access by 2030 and transitioning to cleaner, renewable energy sources to combat climate change.

President Ruto, who has been vocal about Kenya’s commitment to renewable energy, is expected to highlight the country’s achievements in geothermal, solar, and wind energy development.

Kenya is recognized as a regional leader in renewable energy, with over 80% of its electricity generated from clean energy sources.
