President William Ruto has reiterated his commitment to inclusive development, saying no part of the country will be left behind under his administration’s transformation agenda.
Speaking after meeting Coast leaders at State House, Mombasa, the President said the government is focused on building a nation where every Kenyan feels included, regardless of their background or political affiliation.
The meeting reviewed key development priorities for the region, with the President noting that several long-stalled projects have now been revived.
Among the major commitments made was the dualling of the Mombasa–Malindi and Mombasa–Lunga Lunga highways, which he said would form part of the government’s wider national infrastructure transformation programme.
President Ruto also pledged to address long-standing land ownership challenges in the Coast by issuing more title deeds, a move expected to unlock economic opportunities for residents.
In addition, the government committed to expand access to education and upgrade a coastal hospital to national referral status, a step aimed at improving the quality of healthcare services in the region.
The President said the initiatives are meant to drive growth, improve service delivery, and ensure that development reaches all corners of the country.
