American rapper Cardi B and Offset have welcomed their third baby together. The duo who annnounced their seperation over Summer shared to the online community that the rapper gave birth to a beautiful baby girl on September 7th. On her Instagram page, Cardi B shared photos from the hospital with the caption,
”Prettiest lil thing 9/7/24 ,”
One of the photos depicts Cardi B holding the newborn. Other photos show Offset and their other children, Kulture, 6, and Wave, 3 holding their sibling. Another photo also shows Offset holding the newborn to his chest joking that, “I think she’s hungry , she’s suckking my nipple.”
Some of the artistes including, Maiya the Don , Somaya Reece and Megan Thee Stallion took to social media to congratulate Cardi B on her newborn.
Cardi B’s Pregnancy Announcement Happened After Filing for Divorce
Cardi B had announced that she was pregnant and expecting her third baby with Offset in August this year. Her announcement came a day after filing for divorce from offset in July 31st after six years of marriage. Cardi B had filed for divorce in September 2020, however, it was dismissed two months later.
Announcing her pregnancy after the end of her relationship, she wrote:
“With every ending comes a new beginning! I am so grateful to have shared this season with you, you have brought me more love, more life and most of all renewed my power!” Cardi wrote in her announcement post. “You’ve reminded me that I never have to choose between life, love, and my passion! I love you so much and can not wait for you to witness what you helped me accomplish, what you pushed me to do!”
A representative for the rapper told the PEOPLE that the decision was not based on infedility rumours rather had been a long time coming. Despite going on seperate ways, the duo has remained committed to co-parenting their children. The celebrity couple welcomed their children Kulture in 2018 and their son Wave in 2021.
