Kenyan musician Stevo Simple Boy and his partner Brenda have officially unveiled the face of their son, Dragon Junior, following months of keeping him away from the public eye.
The highly anticipated reveal took place on Saturday afternoon at the Imperial Chambers Garden, where friends, fans and celebrities gathered for the special occasion.
The event began at 2pm, with fans paying KSh 500 for regular admission and KSh 1,000 for VIP access.
The face reveal came after months of speculation and online discussions surrounding the couple and their first child.
When was Dragon Junior born?
Dragon Junior was born on Saturday, November 1, after which Stevo and Brenda faced intense criticism and cyberbullying from some social media users.
Some online users even questioned the child’s paternity and called for a DNA test, prompting the couple to keep his face private.
In an earlier interview, the parents explained that they had decided against sharing their son’s images online to shield him from further bullying and public scrutiny.
However, Stevo later announced that he would reveal Dragon Junior’s face as part of a celebration of physical diversity and children with different conditions.
The musician said he wanted the occasion to promote positivity and encourage people to appreciate everyone’s unique appearance rather than subjecting them to ridicule.
“Nimekaa kimya sana ni wakati wa kujivunia mwonekano wetu, kila mtu ako biuri kivyake,” Stevo previously said.
The colourful celebration brought an end to months of anticipation, with the couple choosing to introduce their son to the public on their own terms.
