A 32-year-old man is in police custodyfollowing the interception of a vehicle transporting bhang valued at over Sh13million by Migori County police officers.
The suspect Edwin Okondo Nyagaga was arrested on Giribe–Masara by police officers from Oruba Police Station following a tip-off.
He was suspect was in a black Toyota Kluger, a KBS 517N number plate which was ferrying eight large bags of bhang weighing approximately457.6 kilograms.
The officers also discovered four different number plates on the car KBP 716H, KBT 673F, KBW 341T, and KBX 142P which were used to mask the identity of the vehicle.
Okondo was arrested at Oruba Police Station where he is being held as the investigations continue.He will be charged upon conclusion of processing.
