Man Arrested After Wife’s Body Found in Shallow Grave in Kajiado

A man has been arrested in Isinya, Kajiado County, after the body of his 34-year-old wife was found buried in a shallow grave at their farm in Entarakuet.

The deceased, identified as Farida Peter Sangka, was allegedly murdered by her husband, Shon David Rabassa Kioko, before her body was buried at the farm.

As per Directorate of Criminal Investigations, this issue came to light through a complaint made by a farmhand working for Kioko to the police department.

Ndayishimiye Deo, who is of Burundian origin, informed the authorities that his boss had murdered his wife and had asked him to dispose of her dead body.

Detectives from Isinya acted on the report and visited the farm, where they arrested both Kioko and Deo as they began their investigation.

The scene was secured before exhumation of the body in the presence of a pathologist, Ministry of Health representatives, and police officers.

The body was then taken to Nairobi Funeral Home, where it is being preserved pending an autopsy to determine the cause of death.

Both Kioko and Deo are in police custody, as detectives carry out investigations into the death and alleged cover-up of the crime.

The DCI has encouraged members of the public to share any information that might help in carrying out investigations through the toll-free line 0800 722 203 or via WhatsApp on 0709 570 000.
