President William Ruto has eulogized former U.S. President Jimmy Carter as an extraordinary leader dedicated to public service and global causes.
In a heartfelt statement, Ruto praised Carter’s unwavering commitment to peace, human rights, and environmental sustainability.
“President Jimmy Carter was an extraordinary leader whose dedication to public service was epic. He was a powerful champion for global peace and human rights,” Ruto said.
Ruto highlighted Carter’s pioneering efforts in advocating for a healthy planet, noting his contributions to protecting nature and combating climate change.
“We are indebted to his pioneering voice on the actions for a healthy planet that has protected our nature and slowed climate change,” he added.
Jimmy Carter, who served as the 39th president of the United States from 1977 to 1981, is remembered globally for his humanitarian work and advocacy for peace through the Carter Center.
