Nominated Sen ator Karen Nyamu has called out on the youth after recent protests. Karen termed them as chaotic adding that they lack direction. Contrasting the demonstrations to last years, which she described as organized, she questioned the goal of the protests.

On her social media pages she wrote, “I didn’t like yesterday’s demonstrations.I thought it was a memorial to remember those who died last year. But it turned into threats, chaos, and tension. Why?

What did you young people want to achieve yesterday?” she asked. “Last year, the course was clear. This time, it looked like first-time protesters without a cause.”

Karen also raised concern about the damage that was done towards the businsses most of which are owned by Kikuyu community.

“A lot of businesses were hurt, mainly run by hardworking Kikuyu people,” she said. “Where is that self-appointed spokesperson to condemn it?”

Nyamu warned the public to be cautious of leaders who stir unrest for personal gain. She accused some of acting out of bitterness rather than genuine concern.

“Be careful with leaders who have nothing left to lose,” she said.
