President William Ruto’s economic adviser, Moses Kuria, has revealed his intention to seek an elective position in the 2027 general elections.
Speaking during an interview on Kogi’s Corner on Sunday, Kuria emphasized his preference for a mandate directly from the electorate rather than appointed positions.
“I will vie for an elective seat in 2027. I don’t want these positions that are given to you, and you don’t know when you will be fired. Elective seats are better because you get a mandate from mwananchi,” Kuria said.
Kuria noted that he is exploring various options and is not limited to vying for the Nairobi gubernatorial seat.
He further affirmed his commitment to running under his Chama Cha Kazi party, which he described as “very active.”
