Member of Parliament Kapseret Constituency, Oscar Sudi has accused Kenyan leaders of seeking platforms to address issues they themselves failed to resolve.
His remarks circulating online, show his frustration among citizens who feel politicians are repeating the same promises they made without accountability.
Kenya’s economy has been facing high inflation, with the rising of food and fuel costs squeezing many households. This comes aimed controversy over the Finance Bill 2026, with proposals such as 25% levy on mobile phones and increased VAT on essential goods.
Sudi criticizing Uhuru Kenyatta said he left Kenyans with a burden of high inflation and should stop criticizing the current administration, allowing it to lead as it should.
The remarks come as political parties are positioning themselves ahead of the 2027 elections, with economic recovery emerging as the central campaign theme.
Currently, Kenyan politicians are using platforms and media to campaign for themselves and their agenda, while their track records show different performances.
Kenyans have echoed Sudi’s statement, demanding that leaders to take responsibility and fulfill the work they are supposed to do before making new promises.
